Wildlands compresses a tactical miniatures skirmish into a fast card-driven contest across a ruined city. Each player secretly deploys five distinctive fighters from one of four factions, then uses a hand of action cards to move, attack, defend, heal, and spring interrupts during rival turns. Cards show character portraits and action symbols, so every decision asks whether a card is best spent now, held as a threat, or combined into a decisive burst. Victory points come from collecting your faction’s scattered crystals and knocking opposing figures out of the battle, while the double-sided map creates chokepoints, cover, and sudden clashes. With no dice and very little bookkeeping, position, timing, and reading an opponent matter more than raw luck.
