Read the full game description

Ticket to Ride: New York distills the familiar route-building game into a small, standalone race through 1960s Manhattan. Players collect sets of colored transportation cards and spend them to place taxis on matching routes between landmarks. Completed destination tickets reward connected locations, while unfinished tickets subtract points; tourist attractions printed beside certain routes provide an extra reason to contest the center of the map. With only fifteen taxis per player and routes mostly one or two spaces long, every card draw and blocked connection matters immediately. The full game teaches in minutes, fits on a modest table, and usually finishes in ten to fifteen minutes, yet it preserves the satisfying tension between drawing cards, claiming a critical route, and taking another ticket. No other Ticket to Ride set is required.
