Tamashii: Chronicle of Ascend is a scenario-driven adventure set after an artificial intelligence has turned Earth into a machine-policed ruin. Players are survivors who can upload themselves into different bodies, so identity is both a resource and a tactical tool. Each scenario unfolds across a modular city map and its virtual mirror. Movement, exploration, narrative choices, and combat determine where the team can reach, while the central programming puzzle asks players to arrange coloured data tokens into patterns. Completed programs launch attacks, break security, manipulate the board, or activate the specialised powers of a chosen body. Enemies and bosses answer through dice-driven routines, creating pressure without removing the planning at the heart of the game. New bodies, programs, and story consequences change later scenarios, and several modes support fully cooperative play, competitive objectives, or temporary alliances. The result blends campaign discovery, pattern building, miniatures combat, and a flexible cyberpunk identity system. Every mission asks the same unsettling question in a new form: if consciousness can move between shells, what part of humanity is worth saving?
