Smash Up: Pretty Pretty Smash Up adds four deceptively adorable factions to the expandable card game of clashing combinations. Princesses field only a few minions, but every royal arrives with high power and dramatic effects. Mythic Horses grow stronger when they gather together and reward players for building a sparkling herd. Fairies offer flexible actions whose paired choices can solve awkward tactical problems. Kitty Cats look harmless while stealing, weakening, or sacrificing opposing minions for ruthless swings in control. As in Smash Up, players choose two factions, shuffle their twenty-card decks together, and play one minion and one action each turn unless a card grants more. Minions contribute power to shared bases; when a base reaches its breakpoint, it scores immediately and awards different victory points to the first-, second-, and third-place players. The expansion can be played as a two-player standalone set, but its real strength is integration: every new faction can pair with the original game and the rest of the Smash Up system. Each one pushes a distinct style—concentration, teamwork, tactical choice, or hostile control—while preserving the quick turns and outrageous interactions that make discovering a new faction pairing the heart of the game.
