Discoveries: The Journals of Lewis & Clark turns the historic expedition into an interactive dice-placement game. Each player represents Lewis, Clark, Gass, or Ordway and begins with a personal pool of expedition dice. On a turn you either commit dice to actions or retrieve dice—including your own dice from another player’s board. Foot and horse symbols advance along route cards, campfires change faces, writing actions complete discoveries, and meeting tribes unlocks asymmetric action spaces. Finished Discovery and Tribe cards create sets of geography, people, plants, and animals that score at the end. The clever tension is that dice are both workers and a circulating shared resource: taking a powerful action may hand an opponent the exact die they need, while reclaiming your crew gives up tempo. Vincent Dutrait’s illustrated cards make the journal-building theme exceptionally clear on the table.
