Overview

What ABG knows about this game

A wargame based off the anime "Girls & Panzer". In the anime, girls study tankery, and have tank battles akin to high school sports. The tanks fire ammunition that can damage the other tanks, but are non-lethal. Though it takes place in modern day, it uses World War II tanks. Each player has a group of tanks and characters they control, which vary by scenario. The tanks have values for movement, attack modifier, size modifer, movement points, and front/side/rear armor. Characters give have special limited-use abilities and modifiers for the tanks they're with. Each player starts with 5 cards, and draws 1 each turn. They use the cards to determine what actions they use each turn, such as movement (sometimes one tank, sometimes many), fire, a combination of both (with different modifiers), or other abilties. Other cards may be used as reactions to a card played by the other player, and some are special effects that happen upon drawing the card. Game system is based on World Tank Battles. A sequel Panzer Vor Ausf. 2 was published in 2016.
