Read the full game description

Nations: The Dice Game condenses a civilization game into four brisk ages. Each round players roll their civilization dice, then alternate actions to buy progress tiles, construct wonders, or reroll. Progress adds new dice and abilities to a personal board, so choices in military, colonies, leaders, buildings, and advisers shape both the available symbols and the engine that converts them. Production supplies coins, food, and stone, while books track long-term achievement. At each age’s end, an event tests stability, military strength determines war losses, famine consumes food, and turn order can shift according to development. Because players draw from shared progress rows and compare public values, interaction comes through timing, competition, and pressure rather than direct attacks. Multiple difficulty levels support solo play, and variable nation boards encourage different openings. The result keeps the arc of building a civilization while replacing a long technology tree with tactile dice management and efficient tradeoffs.
