Read the full game description

La Città is a demanding city-building game about the forces that make people abandon one principality for another. Each player begins with two castles in the Italian countryside and expands them with farms, quarries, marketplaces, bathhouses, universities, and other hexagonal buildings. Food supports population, money pays for construction, and public buildings create influence in health, culture, or education. At the end of each round the Voice of the People reveals which quality citizens value most; neighboring cities compare their strength in that category, and population migrates toward the stronger city. Growth therefore creates both opportunity and risk: an impressive city scores well, but every resident must be fed and overcrowding can become a liability. Six rounds of open card drafting, spatial planning, and sharp local competition reward balanced infrastructure and perfectly timed specialization.
