The game offers fresh experiences each time it is played and allows players to improve their strategies over time. The player interaction score is average, and the game is relatively easy to learn with a moderate depth of gameplay.
Kimaloé has a moderate level of luck influence. While random elements like dice rolls or card draws have a notable impact on the game outcome, players have substantial ability to mitigate this randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game is a balanced mix of luck and strategy, with player decisions playing a significant role in determining the outcome. Overall, luck plays a moderate role in Kimaloé.
Overview
Kimaloé is the 3rd game from Gameworks Sàrl, after Animalia and Jamaica. As its two predecessors, it is a contract game, this time designed for the Swiss NGO Terre des Hommes and with Children's Rights as background theme. Kimaloé is a family-oriented game with a flavor of majority and a twist in the scoring system, each player having to manage two scoring pawns that can't be too far away from each other at any given time. Thanks to that little twist, winning the game is more challenging that might appear at first sight. Release date is 20th November 2008 during the Universal Children's Day.
