Greentown offers a high level of variability with its gameboard and expansions, allowing for different experiences each time it is played. The strategic depth and scalability of the game further enhance its replay value. While it may take some time to learn, the easiness to learn score is still within a reasonable range. Overall, Greentown has a strong replayability score of 8.08 out of 10.
Greentown has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. While players have some ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning, luck still plays a significant role. The game is a balanced mix of luck and strategy.
Description from Good Game Guide: This game is about building attractions in a city through which tourists will later move. The game board consists of hexes, and both new hexes as well as new paths on existing hexes can be added. Various buildings are placed onto the tiles. The player figures move over the paths, although only over certain spaces as dictated by assignment cards. A 4-player play test had some downtime, but the game should appeal to thinkers. Essen 2006.
